Waipara Springs is a vineyard and boutique winery producing excellent quality wines from grapes grown in 20 hectares of Waipara vineyards. The first vines were planted in the Waipara Springs vineyards in 1982 while the winery has now been operating for over 10 years.
Since opening, the winery has expanded to its current production of approximately 10,000 cases of wine annually. While much of the wine produced is sold through cellar door sales and mail-order, a large proportion is sold throughout New Zealand into restaurants and fine wine outlets. Exports to USA, UK, Canada, Japan and Australia also make up a significant proportion of sales.
Waipara Springs Winery has a restaurant and winebar attached and cellar-door sales which all are open year round, 7 days a week The menu is delicious and interesting featuring much local produce. The cellar door offers friendly and informative commentary on all wines available.
