Terrace Edge

Terrace Edge is a family owned and operated vineyard and olive grove situated on the south bank of the Waipara River. The Georges Road property overlooks the Waipara River, with stunning views of the valley and the surrounding hills.

Terrace Edge is the dream of Bruce and Jill Chapman who, in 1999, purchased the property which was part of a long established sheep farm. The development of the vineyard and olive grove has been a labour of love by the extended family who have used their many and varied skills to see the vision become a reality.

Terrace Edge wines are made exclusively from fruit grown on the 12ha Waipara Valley vineyard, where pride is taken in meticulous vineyard management, in the belief that good wines are made in the vineyard. Therefore cropping levels are always kept low to promote intense concentration and the fruit is always hand picked and hand sorted. Natural and gentle winemaking practices are used, with minimal intervention. Fermentation is predominantly with wild yeasts, indigenous to the winery, to give greater complexity and individuality to the wines.

Terrace Edge proudly offers four outstanding wines: Pinot Noir, Syrah, Riesling and Pinot Gris which are all being very well received with excellent feedback.  Also available is our beautiful extra virgin olive oil - a cool climate oil which boasts a unique flavour.
