Daniel Schuster Wines is a family owned and operated winery situated in the Omihi sub-district of Waipara. Nestled into the limestone-rich Omihi Hills we produce a range of classically structured Estate wines; Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Riesling.
Grapes for our wines are sourced from carefully chosen partner vineyards each with its own unique soils, sun exposure and topography which allows selection of site specific wines, expressive of their terroir.
The 6 ha Omihi Hills Vineyard , developed on limestone-rich, north facing slopes is home to our winery and reception area. Pinot noir is closely planted here, grown without irrigation and utilising sustainable farming practices.
Winemaker and co-owner, Danny Schuster, directs operations with an emphasis on attention to detail, resulting in wines of intensity and unique character.
Visitors are welcome to visit our newly opened Architecturally designed tasting room which sits above the vines and offers spectacular views as far north as the Inland Kaikoura ranges. Open seven days from 10 am to 4 pm .
