Bellbird Spring is a producer of fine single estate wine and extra virgin olive oil. Owned by the Porter family who live on their Home Block in the heart of the Waipara Valley. Dedicated to producing wines of fine aroma and texture.
Bellbird Spring is a family concern taking fruit from their two vineyard sites to make wines which are full of flavour and character using traditional techniques. We make a range of aromatic whites and Pinot Noir using old oak barrels to ferment and age our wines.
From our Block Eight vineyard on a stony clay spur of Mt Donald come two white wines - a rounded and mouth-filling Sauvignon Blanc and a rich and opulent Pinot Gris. Our Home Block on the Glasnevin gravel soils of the Waipara River terrace produces the luscious and perfumed Home Block White. A single vineyard wine from four varieties - Pinot Gris, Riesling, Muscat Ottonel and Gewurztraminer. Our Pinot Noir is filled with the flavour of soft ripe dark fruit and comes from Block Eight.
